Nahid
Kaka
Painter of feeling, before form.
Nahid Kaka is a painter based in Iran, working in vibrant color and unrestrained line to translate emotion onto canvas — often before she has the words for it herself.
A life shaped
by color
Born in 1996 in Yazd, Iran, Nahid found in painting a language for feelings she couldn't otherwise explain — and she has been speaking it ever since.
"I often use vibrant colors and dynamic lines to depict strong emotions and thoughts. My work is deeply influenced by my inner feelings, and through unreal forms, colors, and lines, it portrays the ideas and emotions I carry with me."
She studied painting formally at Yazd University, graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Painting — a foundation she has built on ever since, through solo and group exhibitions across Iran, Spain, France, and the United States.
When I paint outside, I stop overthinking and just become part of what I'm creating.
Much of her work begins outdoors. Painting in nature means giving up control — the light shifts, the moment won't hold still — and it's in that surrender, she says, that her truest paintings appear.
